Ammonia Leak – Sulfur Stick – Burning
by Jeremy Williams on May.14, 2019, under News
This short video is an example of detecting a small ammonia leak around this compressor. One of the most common methods to find small ammonia leaks is to burn a sulfur stick. There must be a flame present and the sulfur dioxide gas is almost invisible until it reacts with ammonia gas. With an open flame, remember that if the NH3 is in the right fuel range it can also burn as seen in this demonstration.
