Today we have the pleasure of speaking with Gary Smith on the phone. Gary is the President of ASTI (Ammonia Safety Training Institute). He took a moment and gave me the rundown of his “One Plan Coalition” emergency response plan. Gary’s one plan is all about keeping a cool head in a heated situation. He formed this coalition to raise awareness of the dangers of ammonia and how to manage them. His goals are to improve safety, emergency response readiness and to reduce ammonia related incidents.
