Scholarship Graduate!

Santiago Diaz was the first member of his family to graduate college but soon found that he craved a different type of skillset and education. He enjoyed working with his hands and learned the trade of carpentry. From there he saved up enough money to attend and graduate TSTS in Waco TX with an Associates in Diesel Technology. While in the diesel industry he also acquired electrical skills and later received his Electrical Power & Controls degree from TSTC North Texas. With numerous skills under his belt he began working in the maintenance department at Danone, a large milk manufacturer. Eager to learn more and continue growing, Santiago applied for a GCAP scholarship to learn more about industrial refrigeration and hopefully move into an ammonia refrigeration support role at the company. He attended the Ammonia Operator I course July 23-26, 2019 where he scored above average in his class.
Congratulations Santiago!!!
